We’ve been invited by the science teacher at San Juan Mountain School, Andy Guinn, to join his class to learn about their RiverWatch monitoring site on Wednesday, May 25th. The class plans to head down to their nearby sampling site at the river at 1:30pm. Then, once samples are collected, we’ll return to the SJMS school (modular buildings on the north side of PSHS’s parking lot) at approximately 2:15pm for the actual water characteristic testing till 3:30pm.  Please RSVP to kbruno@audubon.org
We’ve discussed RiverWatch sampling as a chapter. This opportunity will be a great way to learn from the students and support their efforts, as well as discuss how we can collaborate in the future with information learned about the San Juan River.
